Kind & Gentle Yoga combines gentle asana with coordinated breathing to open and heal joints, stretch and strengthen muscles, and relax and restore body, mind, and spirit. Mantra, mudra, and meditation are offered to help you rediscover the innate healing power of our bodies. Props, modifications, and adjustments will also be offered to meet each individual's needs.
Kind & Gentle Yoga classes are perfect for beginners, those recovering from an injury, those with sleep or stress issues, poor circulation, high blood pressure, chronic pain, balance issues and osteoporosis or osteopoenia.
Students may benefit from Kind & Gentle Yoga class with reduced stress, an increased ability to cope with life and aging issues, reduced blood pressure, and improved posture and balance. This class is more than using yoga to heal the body; it may also increase mindfulness and compassion in our daily life.
Students in this Kind & Gentle Yoga class will practice on the mat and suggestions will be made through themes including oneness, awareness, balance, and centering to take your yoga off the mat and into your daily life.
